In beginning, they gave out tons of samples because they truly believe in the difference in taste and marbling of Highland cattle beef. Now, they sell to a large customer base with a majority of their customers within 40 miles of where the beef was raised. At first, they sold their beef at farmers’ markets. Janet and her husband Ray started their business, Greenfield Highland Beef, around 15 years ago. The information on these advertisements has been provided by the vendor (member). It is the seller’s responsibility to transfer animals bought privately using our transfer system. They also are the only breed of beef that will marble to 100% purely on grass for feed. Cattle purchased at official Highland Cattle Society sales are automatically transferred to purchasers who are members, and pedigree certificates are issued. With Highland beef, the marbling goes directly into the muscle thanks to their coat of hair. Traditional beef cattle must put on a layer of fat in order to insulate themselves. One unique aspect of Highland cattle is their thick, heavy coats. If you have never tried Highland beef before, you are not alone. Highland Cattle Beef Is One of a Kindīesides their gorgeous, orange colored hair, Highland cattle also produce one of a kind beef. The cattle moseyed right behind her and found the perfect view from the top of their farm. As she says, it’s like being in charge of a first-grade class following the teacher. Snowman, Our Former Herd Sire What is Highland Premium Beef? – Adapted from the American Highland Cattle Association The British Royal family keeps a large herd of Highlands at Balmoral Castle, near Braemar, Scotland, and considers them their beef animal of choice. Highland and Highland crosses have graded in the top of their respective classes at the prestigious National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado. Highland beef is meat that is lean, well marbled and flavorful with little outside waste fat (they are insulated by long hair rather than a thick layer of fat). Today’s consumer prefers lean, premium meat, and the Highland beef is ideally suited to meet this demand. Despite long horns and an unusual appearance, Highlands are even-tempered, bulls as well as cows. These cattle are excellent browsers, able to clear a brush lot with speed and efficiency. They also adapt well to more southerly climates with successful herds as far south as Texas and Georgia. They are raised as far north as Alaska and the Scandinavian countries. Cold weather and snow have little effect on them. Highlands require little in the way of shelter, feed supplements, or expensive grain to achieve and maintain good condition. It is one of the oldest purebred cattle breeds in the world, extremely hardy and first developed on the cold north Atlantic coast of Scotland. Highland (sometimes called Scottish Highland) is a distinct breed of cattle that are generally smaller than Angus and unique in their looks because of their long hair and horns. ![]()

![]() ![]() Running a compressor for longer periods of time than its duty cycle reduces its efficiency to compress air and, if operated repeatedly in this manner, will greatly reduce the compressor’s life. Hence, the higher the duty-cycle rating, the better the quality and efficiency of the compressor.įor example, an air compressor with a 33-percent duty cycle can run for three minutes and 20 seconds and then has to stop for 6 minutes 40 seconds minutes before is can efficiently pump again. So the 12-volt compressor will run until the demand for air stops – or it gets too hot to function properly. ![]() This is an important measurement because light-duty air compressors don’t have the volume of a stationary compressor with a built-in air tank. Normally that number is based on a 10-minute run period, usually 100 psi at 72 degrees F. This rating reflects the percentage of time a compressor can run at 100-percent capacity at a set psi before it has to stop to cool down. To make a good comparison you have to use scfm, cfm and psi ratings to get a good idea of what the compressor can do – and how it compares to another.Īnother factor in rating compressors is the duty cycle. So make sure all your comparisons are at the same psi. SCFM ratings rating go up as the pressure goes down. As an example, the popular Sears Craftsman 6-gallon 110-volt pancake compressor (#152160) is rated at 2.6scfm at 90psi and 3.5scfm at 40psi. The scfm ratings are given at a specific air pressure. (Note: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) also sets standards for design and engineering of products and some manufacturers may use these standards, which are similar to those of the ISO.) The measurement standard, determined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is taken as cfm (sea level) at 68 degrees Fahrenheit (F) and with a relative humidity of 36 percent. To rate compressors so they are all measured by the same standard, air compressor manufacturers rate their units in scfm, or standard cubic feet per minute. The challenge buyers face when trying to compare compressors of this type is cfm varies with atmospheric pressure, temperature and even humidity so rating a compressor can be complicated. ![]() ![]() ![]() According to our research, Redacted, Inc.Clayton Morris is a real estate investor and former co-host of the Fox & Friends morning show on the Fox News Channel. Moreover, exercise has been shown to improve self-esteem which is also associated with alleviating symptoms of migraine. Usually the headache is aggravated by physical activity. It is a cyclic disorder characterized by recurrent attacks of headache accompanied by nausea, photo- and phonophobia. Migraine is the most common neurological disorder affecting around 15% of the European population. However, the frequency and intensity of exercise that is required is still an open question, which should be addressed in future studies to delineate an evidence-based exercise program to prevent migraine in sufferers. This is most likely due to an altered migraine triggering threshold in persons who exercise regularly. In conclusion, it seems that although exercise can trigger migraine attacks, regular exercise may have prophylactic effect on migraine frequency. Mechanisms for migraine prevention by exercise may include increased beta-endorphin, endocannabinoid and brain-derived neurotrophic factor levers in plasma after exercise. Possible mechanisms for how exercise may trigger migraine attacks, include acute release of neuropeptides such as calcitonin gene-related peptide or alternation of hypocretin or lactate metabolism. In experimental studies exercise has been reported as a trigger factor for migraine as well as migraine prophylaxis. Low levels of physical exercise and high frequency of migraine has been reported in several large population-based studies. Let’s discuss the health detriments associated with exposure to toluene and benzene found in paraffin candles. Benzene is also a colorless liquid derived from natural gas & crude oil that is used as a solvent. Toluene is used as a solvent to make paint products, nail polish, lacquers, glue, and adhesives. It is emitted from gasoline fumes, vehicle exhausts, and cigarette smoke. Toluene is a colorless, water-insoluble liquid that occurs naturally in crude oil. CNN reports that researchers at South Carolina State University found that melting paraffin wax-based candles emitted toxic toluene and benzene, while soy candles & wax did not. Since paraffin wax is derived from petroleum, coal, or shale oil, it has been found to contain known carcinogens (cancer-causing agents) such as benzene. Paraffin wax is commonly used to make candles and wax melts because it is generally cheaper to produce than soy wax. Today we’ll clear the air about what paraffin wax is, answer the burning question of “Is paraffin wax toxic?,” share common health issues caused by paraffin chemicals, and introduce you to healthier alternatives you can use to replace those not-so-good-for-you fragrances.
